Room under 360 sq ft

Buy the AP-1512HH. It is the best air purifier at this coverage level, period. The price, CADR, and filter economics are all better than the competition at this room size.

Room 360-620 sq ft

Buy the AirMega 400. The AP-1512HH does not cover this space effectively. The AirMega 400 is built for large living rooms and open floor plans. If you want app control, upgrade to the AirMega 400S.

Room over 620 sq ft

Buy two units or look at the IQAir HealthPro Plus. No single consumer purifier covers more than 620 sq ft at the recommended 4+ air changes per hour.

Is the Coway AirMega worth it?+

It depends on your room size. The Coway AP-1512HH at $89-109 is the right buy for rooms up to 360 sq ft, which covers most bedrooms and home offices. The AirMega 400 at $459-530 is worth it for open-plan living areas over 400 sq ft where the AP-1512HH cannot move enough air. Paying AirMega prices for a 300 sq ft bedroom does not make sense.

What is the difference between Coway AP-1512HH and AirMega 400?+
